Paris has lots of great architecture dating from all ages, all the way back to the Romans.

Le Lapin Agile is a famous cabaret in Montmartre. Lapine Agile means “Nimble Rabbit,” and you can see a painting of one above the door. It was a favorite hangout for artists and writers, such as Picasso, Modigliani, Apollinaire, and Utrillo.

We came across this building facade with a pair of mosaics depicting the history of ceramics.

In Paris, the scaffolding of many construction projects is covered with protective scrims that have been painted to look like a real building. This technique is called trompe l’oeil, which means “fool the eye.”
